A Summer Sizzler - Atlanta Dragway

Weather could not have been better for our 2nd annual NHRA's Summer Sizzler held at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce on August 14th.
The Super Gaser's were running and the hot rod's were trying to make just as much noise fighting the time clock!
We had folks from Fla, Al, Ms, Tn, N. C. & S. C. as well as Ga. represented at this one of a kind event. Quality of show cars was top grade and the judges had a tough time deciding on the top 45 cars at the show.
King of the Oldies, Doug Gieser was in his usual top form spinning the rock and roll and challenging all with his automobile trivial questions, while Elvis and Country Singer Connie Osborne performed live at the show.
Craig Armstrong, GM of Atlanta Dragway was pleased with the day's events and hopes that the show cars will come again to brighten up the dragway acreage!
While this was a rare combination of both dragsters and show cars, it was our desire that all had a good time of both worlds in this very unique event.
