Blast From The Fast Past Car Shows

Our History with Car Shows

Blast From The Fast Past (BFTFP) has been doing car show for over 11 years, originally holding shows at the Kroger parking lot on Floyd road in Mableton, GA, but has subsequently produced, organized and funded shows at such places as Miller Park (N. Ga. Fairgrounds), Arbor Place Mall, Six Flags over Georgia, Regal Cinemas, NHRA Atlanta Dragway, Wills Park in Alpharetta, and Sun Valley Beach in Powder Springs.

We Are Charity Driven

BFTFP shows are always charity driven, meaning that all net proceeds go to benefit a local charity. BFTFP has contributed to over 300 charities over the last 11 years. You may view our charity contribution summary for more details. If you know of a deserving charity to be a recipient of a shows proceeds, feel free to notify Wayne of their need and qualification as a 501(c)3 corporation.

Arts and Entertainment at Our Shows

BFTFP shows are always known for their great staging entertainment, as well as their children's activities. There is no shortage of entertainment including good old rock & roll at a BFTFP car show. Crafts and items of interest are always present and generally there is always something for everyone to observe at a BFTFP show. Swap meet vendors are always invited and welcomed at any show as long as there is sufficient room for them.

Attendance Levels

Most shows have between 300-400 cars attending, however BFTFP has had a high attendance of over 600 cars at their shows in the past. BFTFP shows has also welcomed over 6500 spectators at some shows and consistently generated between 2,000 and 3,000 at most shows.

Fair and Professional Judging

BFTFP prides itself in producing top notch shows with professional judging and plenty of great awards. The average number of awards for a typical show is over 100 with both plaques and trophies being given out at the awards ceremony. The awards include, but are not limited to, classification awards, specialty awards and top number of show awards. BFTFP shows are always professionally judged by out of the area, trained and certified judges. Judges are always rotated for a well rounded balance of personalized judging year after year.

Volunteers Needed!

BFTFP shows are always manned by local churches, school and civic volunteers. If you or your group are interested in participating in an upcoming show or event, please visit our volunteer page or contact Wayne Dodd at 770-944-7433 for further details.
