Arbor Place Mall Show
August 27, 2005
Where do you go in late summer when you live on the west side of Georgia as the cruises and car shows are winding down for the season? The mall of course for a little shopping spree! That was no exception this year on August 27th when a top end of competitors rallied together for the 7th Annual Blast From The Fast Past Charity Car Show at Arbor Place Mall in Douglaville Georgia.
The weather was perfect, the vendors were plentiful and the professional entertainment was rocking and rolling on stage all day long. There were antique tractors from Alabama, Rolls Royce's from Atlanta, and even a VW Bug with a monster V8 from Douglasville.
Over 100 awards were given out and each winner went home with a beautiful etched glass plaque that will look good in any one's trophy case! Several local children's charities benefited from the proceeds of the day's activities and as usual no one was bored at the "Blast"!
It was easy to see the high flying balloons which decorated the parking lot and stage area from I-20 and folks found it easy to notice that a lot of activity was happening at the Mall! Plenty of spectators gave accolades and support to many of the special types of vehicles which competed in the show that day.
Promoter, Wayne Dodd stated that "many folks have told me that they had experienced more fun today than any other show they had been to and for us to keep it up!"
Plans are already underway for the 8th Annual in 2006 on August 26th so mark your calendar if you want a show with everything from Movies to Shopping to Car Parts! This is your show.
The "Blast" folks are also hosting their annual early year show on April 1, at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta, Ga so if you like swapping parts, professional entertainment, great awards, and just all around top end cars competing, then you might want to consider playing April Fools day in Marietta with the "Blast" crowd and help their charity outreach for local kids.
Congratulations on another successful Blast From The Fast Past Charity Car Show!
